41 Years Old. 16 Years of Popsicles.

Today I turned 41. Kinda a throwaway year.
Today I turned 41. Kinda a throwaway year. But lately, I’ve been hyper-focused on how to translate my experiences into advice that helps folks enjoy their work more.
Here’s what stands out as I look ahead from the top of the other side of the hill: Patience.
Most of the things that seemed like a huge deal—the stuff that felt urgent, kept me up all night, and demanded immediate attention—didn’t matter that much in hindsight. Time has a way of shrinking problems and showing you what really matters.
I’ve now been working on popsicles for 16 years. Sixteen! That feels so crazy to say. I hope to keep working on pops for another 16 years—easy.
Here’s the tip for today: Be patient.
- Work on things you enjoy (sometimes in your mother-in-laws closet).
- Share that joy with others.
